Isaac Seigel, one of our "North Shore" Melonheads, has been quite enthusiastic and hard working in setting up this event. He has preached the virtues of the Melonseeds/Melonheads to the Swampscott Yacht Club, and the result was an official invitation to use their facilities, including the launching ramp, waterfront clubhouse and lounge !

Although most of us have never sailed in Swampscott, word from those few who have is that it's a really neat spot and very definitely worthy of a visit. Besides, with all this hospitality generously offered, what better time to give it a try!

We typically have one "official" early autumn Regatta event each year, and it's a great time to get one more sail in with this fun crew before the season ends. So,..if you haven't been able to make any of the other events, and want to catch up with us, or join us for (at least) one more adventure, plan to attend. As always, it would be just great to see lots of you and your beautiful boats again.

We expect to be launching about noontime, sailing for the afternoon, celebrating our adventure at the yacht club bar for a bit, then going off to a local restaurant for dinner in the early evening.

 For those of us who live on the South Shore, a Melonseed Motorcade can rally up somewhere in the morning and travel together, and/or we can provide directions for those travelling solo or from other locations.

I assume lots of you are on vacation or at least being casual this month (August), but,.....

AND HERE'S THE SAME OLD DESPERATE PLEA WE ALWAYS HAVE TO MAKE, ....we need to hear from you ASAP if you plan to attend as we definitely have to give the Swampscott Yacht Club a head count.
