OWNER’S STATEMENT:
I purchased this Melonseed from the North Carolina Maritime Museum in the summer of 2022. The boat was donated to the Museum by the original owner. It has only been slightly used, and garage stored. Unfortunately, I have never used the boat as I am making a permanent move to France and cannot take this fine craft with me. I replaced the 12” trailer tires and rims. Bearing Buddies are installed on axles. Trailer is nearly rust free. Boat as shown in photos shows condition “as is” shortly after removal from storage. It does need a good washing and waxing to reveal the overall good condition. The only damage is a ding on port side top corner of stem post as shown in closeup bow on photo. Area on hull below stem post and behind barb tip of shear stripe is a reflection not a scratch A number of small cosmetic scratches which can easily be buffed out can be seen on hull. The teak finished with Cetol. Spoon blade oars, paddle, boat hook, all Shaw & Tenny. Sail in good shape. Mooring cover, anchor, rode, dock lines, cushions, fender included.
